The face shields were given to area nonprofit agencies, residents of the Heartside area, early childhood educators, and more.

It all started with a pledge from a company called InstaShield, that if they sold a million face shields, they would donate a million.

InstaShield LLC and the United Way will distribute 190,000 face shields across Michigan.
